Hanadama Akoya Pearl & Diamond Collier

An Hanadama Akoya Pearl & Diamond Collier set with a 0.50ct Brilliant Round cut Diamond and Hanadama Akoya pearls strung and hand-knotted on the signature Eucalyptus green thread, set in an open-back claw setting in 18K yellow gold. The necklace is fastened with a lobster 18K yellow gold clasp.

Featuring a rare and substantial size for Akoya pearls, this graduated strand ranges impressively from 9.5 mm to 9.0 mm, an unusually large dimension for this variety, which typically produces smaller pearls. 

The necklace length is 16" (40.6 cm).

The pearls are sold with a Hanadama PLS (Pearl Science Laboratory of Tokyo) certificate. 

Hanadama Akoya pearls represent the absolute highest quality grade of Japanese Akoya cultured pearls available on the market. The term Hanadama translates from Japanese as "Flower Pearl" to describe the blooming, radiant quality of top-tier pearls.

The PSL uses rigorous non-destructive testing, including optical fiber checks and soft X-rays, to evaluate each batch. Only about 10% of any given Akoya harvest meet the stringent criteria required to pass.
